UK-based label manufacturer AA Labels has introduced an express printing service, intended to support SMEs, marketing firms and manufacturers with a ‘flexible, cost-effective’ option.

Established in 2006, the business manufactures and distributes plain and printed labels in a range of materials, adhesives and finishes for commercial, industrial, specialist and home use throughout Europe, and further afield with customers in Canada, Argentina, America, Australia and Hong Kong.

Its new offer is claimed as ‘the most affordable express print service on the market’, and supporting businesses that need extra flexibility as they emerge from Covid-19 lockdowns. Specifically, AA Labels is guaranteeing the production and dispatch of printed labels within 24 hours of artwork approval. The service is priced at £99 and is available on all order sizes and all label materials, excluding label embellishment finishes such as hot foil and embossing.

AA Labels managing director Sohail Sethi commented, ‘The new express service has been developed in response to growing customer demand and we are already receiving up to 10 orders per week. The majority of businesses are looking for additional flexibility at this time and to reduce costs, so these new services are about providing a helping hand and providing more affordable choices.

‘We believe we offer the most affordable express printing service in the labels market, with a surcharge of £99 introduced to cover the costs of rescheduling tasks, time and production planning; we believe it is a fair and reasonable charge for this service.’

The express print service will be closely followed by a click-and-collect service, which will be launched in the summer in response to customer demand. Click and collect is not currently available within the label printing industry and there are no limits on order size, other than the exclusion of palleted orders. AA Labels has invested in a major website update to provide customers with allocated collection dates and times that are dynamically generated from its database.

Mr Sethi continued, ‘The development of our click and collect service is aimed at customers that want to save time by collecting their orders in person, rather than waiting for a courier delivery.’

Further, AA Labels continues to recruit for its production team and has recently extended its eight-hour production day to a 12-hour operation with the introduction of split-shifts.

Mr Sethi concluded, ‘We continue to expand our operation and make ongoing improvements to support the changing needs of our customers.

‘They want printing options based around affordability, flexibility and speed, and it is essential that we work with our customers to develop solutions that meet those needs.’
