Labelexpo Global Series, the organiser of Labelexpo label printing trade shows around the world, has detailed the programme for its first virtual summit event.

Virtual Label Summit takes place entirely online from 28 September to 2 October, and is ostensibly an extension of the group’s existing Label Summit series of events and a replacement for this year’s conference programme that could have been expected to support Labelexpo Americas 2020. The virtual summit serves as a stopgap until the reorganised Labelexpo Americas, which had been due to take place this month but has now been rescheduled for 23-25 March, 2021 in Rosemont, Illinois. The next edition of Labelexpo Europe will then follow in September 2021.

The conference programme has been designed to focus on business and strategy, with each day having a specific theme. Day one examines the changing global label and packaging landscape, while day two focuses on the converter’s perspective, business markets and opportunities. Day three looks at how companies can plan and take advantage of the latest technology and trends in order to futureproof their businesses. Attendees will also gain an exclusive insight into what Labelexpo Americas 2021 has in store. Day four continues the future-proofing theme with tips and insight into taking advantage of sales and marketing opportunities. Day five focuses on branding and design from the customer perspective.

Especially noteworthy is a global converter panel discussion on day two that will include representatives from Amberley, Inland, Stratus Packaging and Skanem Interlabels.

Conference sessions will combine speaker-led presentations and attendee Q&As, with pre-recorded Label Academy masterclass content. Sessions will take place early in US Central Time (CT) to enable participation from a global audience.

Labelexpo Global Series managing director Lisa Milburn said, ‘In these changing times, it’s vital that the entire industry stays connected with the latest developments and enhances its industry knowledge outside of Labelexpo shows.

‘We are tremendously excited to run our very first Virtual Label Summit, which will bring together our wealth of industry knowledge and experts on a single digital platform. I strongly urge the industry at all levels from around the globe to take advantage of this opportunity; both converters and suppliers will have an equally important role to play in getting our industry back on track in the coming months post COVID-19, and the Virtual Label Summit will help them get ready.’

Registration for Virtual Label Summit is now open. Delegate passes cost $499/249 (company/individual) for the full week, or $99 per day (individual only). Full digital passes allow access to all sessions, plus exclusive Label Academy masterclass content and introductions to suppliers after the Virtual Label Summit closes.
