Konica Minolta sites in Austria and China are now entirely run on eco-electricity, furthering the company’s goal of procuring 100% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2050.

All locations in Austria, under the Konica Minolta Business Solutions Austria business, and one production site in Jiangsu province in China – Konica Minolta Business Technologies (Wuxi) –, which mainly produces multi-functional peripherals and digital printing systems, now completely use eco-electricity, as of January 2020.

Besides all locations in Austria and the production site in Jiangsu province, Konica Minolta’s European headquarters in Langenhagen, Germany (Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe), all locations in Germany (Konica Minolta Business Solutions Deutschland), all locations in the UK (Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK)) and one production site in Guangdong province in China, (Konica Minolta Business Technologies (Dongguan) also source 100% of their electricity from renewable resources.

Konica Minolta Business Technologies (Wuxi) was also certified as a Clean Production Company by Wuxi City in 2017.

Konica Minolta joined RE100 in February 2019, a global leadership initiative bringing together influential businesses committed to sourcing 100% renewable power for their global operations by 2050. This is in line with Konica Minolta’s approach to contributing to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, such as combatting climate change.

More recently, Konica Minolta has been awarded Gold level recognition by EcoVadis for the fourth consecutive year.
