With the continued growth in the inkjet digital label printing market, Durst has appointed industry veterans David Schwerdtmann and Dennis Eaves to its North American team in an effort to extend the company’s presence in the region.

Mr Schwerdtmann comes to Durst as regional sales manager for label and speciality packaging. His experience includes work with Scitex, Koenig & Bauer, HP, EFI and Domino. His expertise encompasses pre-press, conventional offset printing and digital production.

Mr Eaves has also joined the Durst label and speciality packaging business group as regional sales manager. He brings more than 30 years of knowledge experience in the packaging market, having previously been with HP, Xeikon and Mark Andy. His previous roles include the titles of digital sales manager, district and national sales manager.

Mr Schwerdtmann commented, ‘I have been in the printing industry a long time. I have seen numerous changes in pre-press, offset printing, and now digital printing. Developing the win/win strategies for customers with Durst innovative solutions, has me excited to be here.’

Mr Eaves said, ‘In my career from the inception of digital printing to the latest generation of digital-flexo hybrid press technology, I have never been more excited to be a part of Durst. I am excited to represent and sell this game changing technology.’
