Clondalkin Group has invested in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system at its Leeuwarden site in the Netherlands to optimise business performance.

The company is part of the Group’s Specialist Packaging Division and has purchased the EFI Radius ERP following a recent investment in a sophisticated CRM system.

Providing real time access to business information for accurate and timely decision making, the new investment is expected to streamline business operations and increase employee productivity, as well as further enhancing customer service.

Ken Haan, managing director, said, ‘This investment represents the company’s commitment to being a responsive, service oriented organisation in the consumer market. The powerful estimating tool will reduce response time to the market while the quality module will simplify process control and registrations.

‘Real-time shop floor data collection, combined with electronic planning will further improve flexibility for the customer, and full traceability from carton to raw material is guaranteed to meet with the company’s BRC High Risk accreditation.’

The investment means that Leeuwarden is now operating on the same IT platform as its sister company, Denekamp. Between them the companies cover a large share of the folding carton markets needs and by operating under one management system, co-ordination has been made easier.
