Cerm has named Hybrid Software as its next Premium Integration Partner, adding ‘extra punch’ to its high-end and automated pre-press workflow options for label and packaging printing.

Cerm’s Premium Integration quality label is claimed to represent, ‘the essence of an ideal partnership and it challenges us to work in tandem with all our integration partners towards shared goals and top-level quality; forging stronger ties with our industry counterparts,’ as noted by the MIS specialist.

At Cerm,’ the company stated, ‘We believe in connecting all elements of your business and creating a seamless integration of your complete workflow, from CRM to invoicing. An integrated workflow improves your productivity and from this conviction, we suggest automating as much of your workflow as possible.

‘Pre-press workflow is often the ideal starting point for automation. Subsequent stages can smoothly integrate your printing presses and finishing machines into the already established automated prepress workflow. This step-by-step integration process ensures a cohesive and efficient workflow.’

The integration between Cerm and Hybrid Software’s Cloudflow is designed to automate the entire process from product creation in the Cerm MIS Software to the approval of the soft proof by the print buyer. Cloudflow’s Proofscope module for soft proofing and collaboration is seamlessly integrated in the Web4Labels Cerm application for a ‘smart’ approval workflow. This automation not only saves time and reduces errors but also allows prepress operators to focus on high-value operations, leveraging their expertise.

The Cerm-Hybrid Cloudflow integration operates on bi-directional JDF-JMF data exchange. Utilising product properties from the Cerm MIS system, JDF instructions are sent to Hybrid Cloudflow, initiating an automated pre-press job. This process includes bi-directional synchronisation of artwork status and the exchange of product colour details, which become part of the product description in the Cerm MIS. Finally, the soft proof PDF generated by Hybrid’s Cloudflow is sent to the print buyer for approval. Upon approval, the pre-press workflow for the product is complete, ready for production upon customer order.

Cerm continued, ‘Recognising the importance of collaboration, we have invested significantly in our partner integrations with leading prepress software suppliers for the label and packaging printing industry. Awarding Hybrid Software Premium Integration Partnership is not just a quality assurance and sign of their proven excellence, it also further empowers our automated partner solutions for (prepress) workflows for Cerm customers and prospects.’
