The latest release of WebCenter includes new features developed to streamline and speed up the packaging development workflow, giving brand owners and converters more control and visibility of their packaging pre-production specification, approval and project life cycle.

The packaging management software now offers an improved review and approval process, enabling more visibility into project status and reviewer input. This promises to highlight the root causes of bottlenecks, as it captures the reasons for rejections and the number of approval iterations. It can also automatically involve the right stakeholder after a rejection to speed up the revision process.

To reduce approval time and iterations, reviewers can now see the product in situ on the shop shelf using 3D modelling. A new instant messaging function can be used inside each project with all communication stored for full traceability and transparency.

WebCenter 18.0 content management now includes built-in and custom templates, developed to make it easier for users to comply with legislative demands. The Graphic Content Management functionality allows brand owners to centralise artwork data and merge it into templates, including the logging of symbols, logos and barcodes, as well as packaging copy and graphics.
