Eclipse Label Equipment has announced a new partnership with AstroNova aimed at delivering a fully integrated digital label production workflow for the label and packaging sector.
The collaboration brings together AstroNova’s QuickLabel digital label printers with Eclipse Label Equipment’s digital finishing systems, creating an end-to-end solution intended for label converters, print service providers and manufacturers producing short- to medium-run labels in-house. Eclipse Label Equipment is known for its digital finishing systems, including the Eclipse Mini+ and Eclipse LF350s, which support processes such as lamination, digital cutting, slitting and rewinding in roll-to-roll label production. With the addition of AstroNova’s printing technology, the company is now able to offer a complete workflow spanning full-colour digital printing through to finished label output.
The combined system is designed to support a range of label applications, including short-run labels, digitally printed labels, laminated labels, variable data labels, product and packaging labels, plain and pre-printed label finishing, and on-demand label production. According to the companies, the integrated setup is particularly suited to short and medium-run production environments where faster changeovers, reduced waste and flexible digital cutting are increasingly important.
The solution also incorporates digital label printing, lamination, digital die cutting, slitting, rewinding, roll-to-roll production, inline print and finishing options, along with UK-based support from Eclipse Label Equipment. Eclipse said it is now able to demonstrate a complete production workflow from artwork and printing through to lamination, cutting and finished rolls, and is also offering sample production and online demonstrations for businesses evaluating the system for their own applications.
