Bobst has partnered with French company Packitoo, a specialist in packaging sector software, strengthening Bobst’s vision of ‘digitalising and connecting the entire packaging value chain, from brand owners to converters and equipment suppliers’.

The strategic partnership between the two will also see Bobst invest in Packitoo’s HIPE, a web-based sales tool which automates quotations, manages packaging projects, and supports web-to-pack e-shops for printers and converters.

HIPE is a new software application that tackles challenges in a market seeking more customisation, smaller orders, and quicker delivery. It offers a personalised digital sales process to businesses, allowing converters to quote jobs rapidly and accurately to clients, considering all cost factors.

The software can connect to pre-press applications from leading software providers, bringing value to converters well integrated among various web platforms. It can also deploy a web-to-pack website with instant and automated quotations, generating more orders with minimal effort. Bobst will be able to provide printers and converters with a tailored solution, streamlining its sales cycles, reducing costs, and boosting revenues.

CEO of Bobst, Jean-Pascal Bobst believes the partnership reinforces the company’s vision of a digital future for the packaging, highlighting the importance of software in ‘enhancing productivity, efficiency, and sustainability.’ He described Packitoo’s software as a ‘perfect fit’ for the company’s industry vision, providing a new way for its customers to automate and optimise their sales processes.

Packitoo will also benefit from the partnership, utilising Bobst’s global presence, expertise, and network, enabling it to reach new markets and customers. Thomas Othax, CEO of Packitoo, commented, ‘This partnership and investment are a great opportunity for us to leverage Bobst’s resources, knowledge, and network to grow our business and reach new markets. We share Bobst’s vision of a digital transformation of the packaging industry, where software and data are key drivers of innovation and value creation. We are confident that our software will bring significant benefits to printers and converters, and the packaging industry as a whole.’
