Dantex has stated that its previously announced partnership with Actega for its EcoLeaf metallisation technology has served to highlight the digital label press manufacturer’s ‘commitment to innovation and sustainability’.

As announced at Labelexpo Europe 2023, Actega’s EcoLeaf technology can be integrated with Dantex’s PicoJet press platform. Designed for a broad variety of markets, EcoLeaf is a digital technology enabling metallisation embellishments onto self-adhesive labels. EcoLeaf utilises a glue trigger layer shaped like the intended image, to ‘significantly’ reduce waste. The process jets aluminium particles, adhering them to the glue layer to create a metallic image. This approach not only eliminates waste but also allows for the creation of multiple metallic colours.

Dantex Group CEO Ben Danon said, ‘We are excited to introduce this eco-friendly technology to our PicoJet range of digital UV inkjet presses, and we believe that this partnership will help us to achieve our sustainability goals while providing our customers with highly innovative and visually impactful solutions. Both parties strongly emphasise the environmental and sustainability benefits of this collaboration.’

Alongside the integration of EcoLeaf, the current PicoJet range already boasts numerous features, including the addition of new Digital Resolution System (DRS) and printhead technology powered by Ricoh, as well as the proprietary PicoCenta and PicoPilot software with intuitive touchscreen interfaces. SuperText, SuperWhite and SuperTactile technologies are also included, offering a wide range of finishing options for end-to-end label manufacture.
