AM Labels has added the Afinia DLP-2200 full colour digital label press to its portfolio.

This is digital label press with inline rotary finishing. An Afinia L901 colour label printer integrated inline combines a 1600dpi resolution with a print speed of more than 25,000 full colour labels an hour and the latest Memjet printhead technology. Using just the rotary finishing technology, DLP-2200 can be used to convert blank labels. DLP-2200 can print, die-cut and finish labels at a speed up to 18m/min, while also being capable of laminating, cutting, stripping, slitting and rewinding. A large capacity accommodates rolls with a maximum outside diameter of 400 mm, whilst automatic web guiding keeps the media aligned without the use of physical collars. An 18in magnetic cylinder that utilises low cost, flexible steel dies means the digital label press can accommodate label sizes with a maximum length of up to 360mm. Servo-controlled motors facilitate pinpoint cutting, even at high speeds. A built-in lamination system then provides labels with protection against chemicals and UV, while increasing durability, scratch and scuff resistance.

Brendon Bass, sales and marketing manager at AM Labels, commented, ‘The new press offers a wide range of benefits to businesses operating across a selection of industries, providing companies with the ability to laminate, cut and finish high quality labels, in-house, while saving time, effort and costs, as well as minimising errors and increasing efficiency and productivity.’
