Using the latest embellishment technologies, Scodix has stated that brands have the opportunity to forge strong connections with their customers.

‘The economics of embellishment are more important than ever,’ said Mark Nixon, vice president of global sales and marketing at Scodix.

Moreover, his company has noted how digital enhancement allows print and packaging service providers to offer customers increased flexibility and faster turnaround times when compared with traditional analogue metal foiling. In addition, there are environmental benefits to be made, including eliminating VOC emissions, removing the need for metal-based stamps/clichés, chemicals and solvents, and reducing energy consumption.

Scodix has recently announced Smart High Definition (SHD) capability for its Ultra 6000 digital enhancement press. SHD is new algorithm-controlled digital printing that is claimed to achieve ‘high accuracy and quality precision’ of complicated detailing for foiling and spot embellishments. SHD will be highlighted by Scodix at next week’s Printing United 2022 expo in Las Vegas.

‘Scodix has developed its range of enhancement presses to deliver fast ROI by being extremely productive and economic when producing complex and compelling enhancements,’ continued Mr Nixon. ‘Sustainability is even more paramount and visitors to Printing United will see that Scodix digital enhancement solutions, including our breakthrough SHD technology, use clean, eco-friendly processes – with no metals, no acid etch and low energy-use.’

He concluded, ‘There is a golden opportunity for brands to forge strong connections with customers through engaging, premium packaging with high-quality enhancement. Many companies already understand that, and now see how valuable the Scodix Ultra 6000 in particular is as a replacement press for traditional embellishment.’
