UK-based AM Labels has introduced the new series of Epson ColorWorks C4000 colour label printers to its portfolio to increase flexibility.

The C4000 Series, which is available with matte or gloss ink,  has a resolution of up to 1200 x 1200dpi, improved colour matching functionality, and maximum print speeds of up to 4in (100mm) per second.

The 2.7-inch colour display printer can produce high quality personalised labels using a tablet which is useful for in-store applications where a PC is not available. Users connected to Wi-Fi can also print remotely.

With individual pigment ink cartridges for fast drying labels with increased durability, the C4000 Series can also produce smudge, water and fade resistant labels. The matte ink model is ideal for creating crisp coloured labels on matte media and can print darker black text and images.

Alternatively, the gloss ink model can print labels on a more extensive range of materials, including synthetics and gloss finishes.

With a maximum print width of 108mm, the C4000 Series can be used to create product and packaging labels, as well as barcode and shipping labels. The printers are designed for small to mid-volume labelling requirements, particularly for healthcare, pharmaceutical and retail industries.

Brendon Bass, sales and marketing manager, said, ‘Combining improved image quality, increased ink capacity and a competitive price point, with the option to print high quality labels via a tablet, the new range is an extremely exciting development and one we expect to be very popular with our customers.

‘The Epson ColorWorks range offers a variety of models ensuring that, regardless of your company’s requirements, there is a suitable model that can support your business in improving and streamlining its label printing operations.’
