UK printer Hine Labels has named Ryan Grayson as its new business development manager, with Julie Kelly joining as its new operations manager.

Since joining Hine Labels in 1992, Mr Grayson has grown up within the family-owned company, starting out in the pre-press studio department, before moving on to the role of production manager.

In his new role, Mr Grayson will help Hine Labels better serve both current and new customers, particularly those who may not have in-depth knowledge or understanding of label making. In turn, the company’s customer service officers, led by Kelly Mullett, and its technical services team, led by Nick Escreet, are able to place a greater focus on account management and support.

In announcing his appointment, Hine Labels stated, ‘Ryan has good relationships with our long-time existing buyers and has knowledge of their clients. This means it will be easy for Ryan to make sure Hine is not targeting any of our customers’ customers. We will be working hard to make sure all our existing customers are looked after while also moving our business forward.

‘We have almost half a century of trust and loyalty, and we want to continue providing full confidentiality and ethical business standards, offering good trade prices and service to our broker customers.’

Ms Kelly comes to Hine Labels with extensive skills and experience in operations and people management, providing leadership in various manufacturing roles with notable knowledge of lean processes, ‘which will be a fabulous asset to our business,’ noted Hine Labels.

In her 20-plus years of experience, she has worked at retailers Aldi and Next, manufacturing businesses Granada Glazing and molten metal flow engineering and technology company Vesuvius, and also Kingsbury Press.

Hine Labels is a member of the Digital Labels & Packaging Industry Group. Company managing director Anita Hine is speaking at the Digital Print for Brand Success 2022 conference – www.digitalbrandconf.com
