Hauer Labels has expanded its capabilities and service to customers with investment in a Dantex PicoColour UV inkjet digital label press.

The company is located in Mühlkreis, Austria, and remains a family-owned business with 80 years of label printing experience. Now owned and managed by the fourth generation of the Hauer family, the investment in its latest UV inkjet digital label press was seen as important for the printer to strengthen its flexibility, expand its product range, and increase responsiveness to customer requests.

PicoColour is a five-colour UV printing system that offers a speed up to 25m/min. Dantex’s proprietary PicoPilot software allows jobs to be prepared, printed and changed efficiently. As a modular printing system, ultra-high opacity white, varnish, variable data, corona unit, additional mark sensors, chiller roller, rotary die-cutting, edge trim, and slitting and lamination, can be specified. Standard features of the press include things such as a recirculating ink system, web cleaner and antistatic bar.

Martin Hauer, managing director at the label printing company, said, ‘The PicoColour offers outstanding value for money in the mid-range UV inkjet sector, and an inline die-cutting unit. With the press, Dantex has been able to offer us an almost tailor-made system for our exact requirements. We also particularly like the mid-range size of the press with full functionality and the ability to retrofit individual options for possible future expansion of the system.

‘We have been a Dantex customer for decades and we always experience exceptional, personal and always very friendly service. The service team is top, and always guarantees fast reactions with suitable solutions for all possible problems every time.’

Jürgen Wessa, Dantex Germany managing director, said, ‘We would like to thank Hauer for the trust it has placed in us and are delighted that we have sold another PicoColour into Austria. So far, our customers have been consistently delighted with the versatility of the machine. We are sure that with the PicoColour, the Hauer company has also received exactly the right machine for its needs and look forward to the feedback.’
