Kansas-based Stouse has invested in a pair of HP Indigo 6K digital presses, to meet increased demand for roll labels and other customised applications.

Stouse began as an HP Indigo provider with the HP Indigo s2000 industrial specialty press, later adding Indigo sheet-fed printing capacity with two press installations, including an Indigo 7900 installed last year. The company has constructed two state-of-the-art ‘Digital Printing Studio’ rooms with advanced temperature and humidity controls to house its growing Indigo fleet.  The company recently completed the installation of the two new digital presses, which are the new generation of HP Indigo’s established narrow web press platform.

The HP Indigo 6K introduces Spot Master, next-generation color automation technology, claimed to deliver the industry’s ‘fastest time to brand colours’.

The press features a built-in HP Indigo Production Pro for Labels and Packaging Print Server delivering five times more RIP power than previous generations. Additionally, the HP Indigo 6K can deliver more applications using higher opacity white for shrink sleeves, new inks including metallics, fluorescents, invisible red and green for brand protection applications, and new varnishes from leading partners for higher durability.

Sarah Hibit, vice president of operations at Stouse, said, ‘Upgrading our existing Indigo roll label press and adding capacity with a second installation has substantially increased our ability to serve our customers’ demand for sophisticated applications. We rely on our partners at HP to provide solutions that help drive revenue growth and productivity gains, and they really delivered.’
