Labelexpo Global Series has taken the decision to delay its rearranged Labelexpo Americas event and rearrange Labelexpo Europe 2021, ‘due to continuing uncertainty’ linked to Covid-19, the rollout of vaccines and the ability to travel.

Both events are now to take place in 2022, with the next instalment of Labelexpo Europe to run 26-29 April 2022, with Labelexpo Americas following across 13-15 September, 2022.

Labelexpo Europe was set for 21-24 September, 2021. Labelexpo Americas had been proposed to run 8-10 June, 2021, having been held over from 2020. The event now reverts to its usual schedule having effectively skipped an edition. This equates to a four-year gap between expos in the region. As such, Tarsus, the parent company of Labelexpo Global Series, has decided to introduce a new US Label Congress in September 2021.

Taking place 29 September – 1 October, 2021 at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center, home of the expo, Label Congress 2021 will include conference sessions covering all areas of label and package print technology and markets, an educational stream, Label Academy Live, and an exhibition of new technology, with leading suppliers displaying their latest equipment, software and services. The congress and educational sessions will also be broadcast online to a global audience.

Lisa Milburn, managing director of the Tarsus Labels, Packaging and Brand Print Group, said, ‘Due to continuing uncertainty about the speed of the vaccine rollout in Europe and the ability of our global visitors to travel to Brussels, we have made the decision, in consultation with our exhibitors, to postpone Labelexpo Europe until April 2022. Label Congress 2021 will be our first physical gathering for the US label industry since the pandemic began, and we look forward to welcoming attendees to this keynote event.’
