The HP indigo CPO programme will cover a variety of presses for labels and packaging, and commercial printing
HP has introduced a certified pre-owned (CPO) press programme, covering its portfolio of Indigo presses.
The presses are certified and resold after undergoing a rigorous renewal process to, ‘ensure they give the benefits of HP Indigo quality and advanced applications along with reliable production’, according to the company.
The HP Indigo CPO programme includes a strict approval process to ensure the quality and reliability for of CPO units. Digital presses are carefully selected and inspected as candidates for renewal based on press age, print volume, and condition to undergo the CPO programme renewal process, which includes replacement of dozens of parts, upgrading to the latest hardware; and new software configurations, including the latest digital front end (DFE) to drive variable data and PrintOSX connectivity.
HP Indigo CPO presses come with a six-month warranty.
The programme is said to allow converters of all sizes to acquire HP Indigo digital printing technology at a lower investment cost. The programme is also claimed to reduce the impact of printing on the environment, by enabling HP Indigo and its customers to engage in a circular economy by taking back previously owned Indigo presses and installing them at new customer sites.
Haim Levit, HP Indigo general manager, explained, ‘Now is the time to plant the seeds for growth and invest in solutions that can capture opportunities for high-value work that will secure a profitable future. This is why we are now introducing the HP Indigo CPO program, expanding investment options for print service providers to join the world of HP Indigo and access unique growth opportunities using the benefits of HP Indigo LEP technology.’
The CPO programme kicks off with availability of B2 format HP Indigo 10000 digital press units. Other HP Indigo presses available as previously owned include the HP Indigo 12000, HP Indigo 7000 and narrow web 6000 series.
