Italian converter Grafiche Pradella has ended 2020 on a high by adding to its production capability with digital printing and converting.

Grafiche Pradella is located in northern Italy across two sites. It manufactures self-adhesive labels, packaging, other roll products and patient information leaflets (PIL).

A long-time user of flexo and offset printing, Grafiche Pradella has opted to invest in digital production in order to, ‘complete the offer and to guarantee all our customers a complete package.’

This has included installation of a Screen Truepress L350UV SAI UV inkjet press, making Grafiche Pradella the first in the world to install Screen’s new SAI technology to produce labels with enhanced colour accuracy and vibrancy.

‘Grafiche Pradella has once again shown itself to be innovative and able to renew itself with an eye to the future,’ said Nicole Ghilotti, marketing and communication manager at Grafiche Pradella. ‘The Truepress Jet L350UV SAI printer stands out in speed, precision and the very high label print quality. It also meets our customers’ demands for short runs and tight deadlines.’

Alongside the UV inkjet digital label press, Grafiche Pradella has installed a Prati Digifast finishing system, allowing onward application of cold foil, lamination and varnishing after printing.

The investments were facilitated by Ettore Maretti of REM, Screen’s representative in Italy.

Grafiche Pradella stated, ‘A special thanks goes to Ettore from REM, a trusted partner with whom we have been able to study a combination of production machines able to satisfy all our needs and those of our customers.’
