Fortis Solutions Group has acquired Kala Packaging, as it seeks to further the breadth and depth of its product offerings and locations.

Virginia, US-based Fortis Solutions Group is a converter of pressure-sensitive and shrink sleeve labels, multi-ply coupons, flexible packaging, extended booklets, pouches and folding cartons, as well as supplying label applicators and offering variable data printing. These are produced using a mix of digital, flexo and offset printing.

Kala Packaging, based in Orem, Utah, is a printer of pressure-sensitive labels and flexible packaging. Offering variable content printing, anti-counterfeiting and security options, alongside food-safe flexible packaging, Kala serves the food and beverage, health and beauty, and nutraceutical markets. It has strong heritage in digital, having purchased one of the first HP Indigo digital presses in North America at the start of the 21st Century.
