South Korea’s anytron has developed any-Jet II, a new inkjet printer for label and flexible packaging applications.

any-Jet II has been designed as a turnkey, inline and dual function system to print labels and flexible packaging, laminate and laser die-cut. Powered by Memjet inkjet printing technology, any-Jet II has a 1600 x 1600dpi resolution and can cut custom label shapes and sizes with laser die-cutting. It supports variable printing and a cutting speed from 3-18m/min, depending on the label design.

For labels, any-Jet II can overlaminate, laser die-cut, remove the matrix and slit the web. For flexible packaging, laser scribing allows for easy opening, microwave steam release and other features required by pouches.

The any-Flow integrated workflow and RIP software allows the printer and cutter to be controlled for the integrated user interface. Cutting lines are extracted from the print design when uploaded to the system, with cutting data automatically sent to the laser die-cutter. Auto job changeover is achieved by reading a QR code that is printed by the inkjet engine.

Brian Kim, anytron sales manager, commented, ‘Not only will it enhance your production capacity, but it will also expand the flexibility of your application. The idea of an inline system is that the preparation time for production is cut by about 10% to 20%, which can shave off a lot of time on a normal working day.’

anytron, a division of Bitek Technology, has also introduced a new corporate identity and website, ‘to reflect who we are today and to symbolise our dynamic future,’ according to the company.
