Hybrid Software is to host a Packz v6 Bootcamp, providing training on all the new features included as part of the software’s latest release.

Packz v6 is a major release with hundreds of new features. It was introduced in June to coincide with what should have been the drupa 2020 dates.

Packz v6 comes with a new user interface and other new features including:

  • Pactions, which allows users to record and edit series of routine tasks, storing them as action lists;
  • VDP Execute and Boosters, allowing label and packaging converters to augment designs with variable text, varying colours and images, numbers and barcodes; and
  • PDF X-4 support, which increases the security of file exchange between the different stakeholders in the production chain.

Further, the VDP module now includes automated lead-in and lead-out for digital label step and repeat, whilst the Packz Warping module for bottleneck label pre-distortion has been added to the standard Packz licence. A new ergonomic Nebula user interface includes dark mode.

Pascal Wybo, Packz product manager said, ‘In order to succeed in a highly competitive label and packaging supply chain, companies are constantly looking for opportunities to improve the productivity of their prepress operations. Hybrid Software fulfils this need and accelerates the relentless pace of automation by offering complementary Pactions.’

The Packz v6 Bootcamp will take place on 5 November. Contact sales@hybridsoftware.com for more information.
