Pharmaceutical labels specialist CV Labels has installed an Omega SRI finishing system from A B Graphic (ABG), enhancing its security printing capability for this highly sensitive and regulated market.

The machine, configured for the pharmaceutical market, includes a Rea Jet inkjet system to allow multi-lane coding in high resolution, ABG’s fleyeVision 4k 100% inspection system with complete touchscreen operation, and barcode and numbering modules.

CV Labels managing director Bob Veich commented, ‘With an increase in the number of our customers requiring consecutive numbering as standard across their labels, together with ever-increasing regulation in our industry, we have future-proofed our offering.

‘The new Omega press with the variety of added modules is the perfect choice for us. It will enable us to reduce lead times and increase security to an even higher level, as it inspects the printed web with a high-resolution camera and prints consecutive numbers or codes simultaneously. The Rea Jet HR inkjet system has six heads configured to allow multi-lane coding in high-resolution.’

Mark Hyde, ABG sales manager for the UK, Ireland and Australasia, said, ‘Given CV Labels’ glowing reputation in pharmaceutical, healthcare and medical label manufacture, I know how important production quality is to the company. The Omega SRI, together with its coding and numbering modules, is ideal for their needs and I look forward to continuing to support their future growth and development.’
