German printer SC Etiketten has become the latest name to join Optimum Group.

Located in Wiefelstede-Metjendorf, SC Etiketten produces labels to meet the requirements of a variety of industries, from food and pharma, to chemistry and industry.

The addition of SC Etiketten fits well within Optimum Group’s European growth ambitions, and allows SC Etiketten as part of the group to better serve its customers through increased capacity, a wider range of self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging products, and increased supply reliability as part of an international labelling group. Recently, Telrol Group, specifically Telrol and Kolibri Labels, have joined up with Optimum Group, as has FlexoPrint Group. With the addition of SC Etiketten, Optimum Group now consists of 13 member companies located in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Denmark, with each member company having its own product/market combination. The acquisition of the SC Etiketten is the sixth successful acquisition by Optimum Group since 2018.

Ralf Christoffer, managing director at SC Etiketten, said, ‘The company has developed well in recent years in which we have achieved significant growth, based on a strong and dedicated team of employees and by investing in more capacity.’

For Optimum Group, the addition of SC Etiketten strengthens its position as a provider in Europe of labels and flexible packaging products, including printed and blank self-adhesive labels, tapes, shrink sleeves, banding labels, multilayer labels and flexible packaging.

In a joint statement, Marc van Rijswijk, CFO and André Prophitius, CMO, Optimum Group, stated, ‘We are excited about the collaboration and convinced of the value that SC Etiketten will bring to Optimum Group and Germany. Through further collaboration both companies will be able to serve our clients even better. In terms of culture, there is a great fit between the SC Etiketten and the Optimum Group, and we are confident about the future prospects of the combined group.’
