Global Graphics group companies Global Graphics Software, Meteor Inkjet and Xitron are partnering to launch a major new software platform for digital presses.

Direct is the first fully integrated product line from Global Graphics, featuring its Harlequin RIP technology, Mako file optimisation tool, and ScreenPro and PrintFlat software for inkjet digital printing from Global Graphics Software, with integration with printhead drive electronics and software from Meteor Inkjet, labels and packaging workflow from partner company Hybrid Software, and access to the global reseller network of Xitron.

Direct was due to be introduced at drupa 2020, which has been postponed until April 2021. It will now be rolled out, worldwide, ‘virtually’ on 28 April.

Global Graphics CEO Mike Rottenborn said, ‘We stand shoulder to shoulder with our industry colleagues, partners and employees during this difficult period and look forward to participating in drupa in April of next year. In the meantime we are not treading water, we are accelerating our plans to launch Direct, a major new software platform for digital presses.’
