Xpress Labels from Kochi, Kerala in India has installed a DC330Miniflex dual varnish finisher from Grafisk Maskinfabrik (GM) to enhance its digital production.
The installed configuration of the DC330Miniflex includes two UV flexo varnish stations with spot varnish, cold foil, semi-rotary die-cutting, back score, slitting and semi-automatic turret rewinder on a compact platform. This provides Xpress Labels with a spectrum of finishing capabilities for its digital production, and has been installed alongside the company’s HP Indigo 6900 roll-to-roll digital label press.
Renil Thomas, managing director at Xpress Labels, said, ‘Brands in FMCGs, consumer market, pharma, healthcare and textile industries of today’s world are trying hard to create or maintain a unique identity. We see labels playing a large role when it comes to branding and packaged products.’
The GM DC330Miniflex installation was implemented in cooperation with Printronics, the Danish finishing specialist’s distributor in India. Managed by Selvaraj Venkatesh, Printronics is an equipment dealer and consultant in the printing and packaging segment with a collective experience of over 90 years in facilitating services in narrow and mid web flexo press, narrow web and sheet-fed digital press, pre-press hardware, and software for flexo and offset applications.
