Digital Labels & Packaging wishes all our readers, partners and industry friends a Merry Christmas, and a happy and prosperous New Year.

2020 promises to be a big year for the digital package printing industries we serve and write about, with drupa to be at the centre of much of what you see, hear and learn during the months before and after the 16-26 June event.

Next year is also the magazine’s 10th anniversary, providing a moment to stop and reflect on the decade just gone, and to look to the future. ’21 March, 2031 will be the day when digitally printed packaging will overtake its analogue alternatives,’ opines Sean Smyth, our technical editor. Inkjet is sure to a be hot topic, from corrugated to aqueous flexible package printing, and directly on to bottles and cans, whilst toner technologies also continue to evolve and find new applications and end uses. As Mr Smyth predicts in the November/December issue of the magazine, new digital imaging technologies and techniques are sure to emerge in the future too.
