European package printing group Watershed Group has used its investment in hybrid printing to bring to market a new range of gins launched by TV personality Graham Norton.

Watershed Group has installed a Mark Andy Digital Series hybrid press as part of an extensive upgrade of its label printing capabilities.

The Digital Series hybrid press installed by Watershed has a 330mm (13in) web width and is fitted with four flexo units, one with reverse print option, along with the CMYK+W inkjet engine, laminating and QCDC-SR die station.

Labels for the Graham Norton range of gins include a complex combination of print finishes, which the hybrid press at Watershed has been able to process in a single pass. This included utilising its added-value capabilities, such as hot foil, embossing, debossing and die-cutting.
