Neoprint, a family-owned digital print business based in Morges, near Lausanne, has installed a Mark Andy Digital One press to boost its capacity for short to medium run high quality labels.

Established on the shores of Lac Léman (Lake Geneva) in 2003 by the Beaud family, Neoprint now employs eight staff that operate a diverse printing operation, from small format commercial work, through large format sheetfed printing for indoor and outdoor usage, to roll-to-roll labels, especially for the local food and wine markets.

The company selected the Digital One after a demonstration at Mark Andy’s print centre in Warsaw. The servo-driven, dry toner-based press is designed to offer high quality at an entry-level investment.

Speaking for the company, Christelle Beaud commented, ‘The Digital One gives us all the possibilities and flexibility we were looking for. We can print CMYK in high-quality digital toner, add varnish or cold foil, die-cut and rewind in one step. Our customers are impressed by the print quality and the new possibilities we can offer to them. It is the perfect solution for us and gives us an enormous advantage in the market.’ She also stated that the Digital One is also very easy to set up, and that the company’s operators really like running it. ‘After a few days of training everybody can operate it – it’s so easy!’

Renowned for its ongoing programme of investment in the latest technology, Neoprint is a well-regarded Swiss company, and the installation of a Digital One is a notable success for Mark Andy’s Sales manager Timo Donati. ‘To sell a label press in Switzerland, into the heart of our competition, is an indication of how good the Mark Andy digital technology has become.’
