Baker Labels has made charitable donations to four local charities, worth a total of £13,000.

An amount of £5000 has been given to Georgia’s Teenage cancer Appeal, an Essex-based charity, which supports families that have a child, teenager or young adult with cancer or other life threatening or life limiting conditions.

Kids to Inspire received £3000 to help them support young people who are at an educational, social and/or economic disadvantage resulting from trauma or emerging mental health issues. The same amount went to Special Needs and Parents, a charity that helps families with children and young people who have  special needs or disabilities, by providing a variety of services such as activities for children of all ages, support and advice.

The final Christmas donation went to the local Brentwood Foodbank, which received £2000 worth of groceries.

Across 2018 the family-run label business has also held bake sales, wearing pink days, jeans for genes days and sponsored events such as obstacle courses and running races. The money raised from these events brings the company’s total donations for 2018 to £15,000, with all members or staff involved and contributing.
