Heret Packaging installed the new B1 format press in June

Digital finishing manufacturer MGI has celebrated three sales of the JETvarnish 3D in Israel, with two new customers and one existing customer installing embellishment machines.

Heret Packaging first invested in MGI technology four years ago, with a JETvarnish 3D in B2 format. It has now installed  the B1-format JETvarnish 3D Evo to enhance its range of high added-value services, including packaging embellishment. The acquisition was also in line with the company’s ‘One Stop Shop’ strategy, to offer brands and agencies a complete service under one roof.

The company produces packaging and boxes for the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, gourmet, wine and spirits markets, using a range of equipment, including an HP Indigo 30000 press.

The second customer was Skitza, an Israeli trade finisher based in Tel Aviv, which opted for the B2 format. Working on all types of substrates, the company was particularly interested in the AIS SmartScanner, a on-the-fly registration solution for JETvarnish 3D driven by artificial intelligence, which scans each sheet and corrects any distortions.

Finally, MGI has just sold its first roll-to-roll press dedicated to the self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging market, the JETvarnish 3D Web. The company has not revelaed the name of this customer.
