Revenues for the first half of 2013 of $351.7 million, up 9% year-on-year compared to $324 million for the same period in 2012, have been recorded by EFI.

The last quarter showed faster growth, and packaging and labels are an important part of the mix. Inkjet represented 49% of the revenue in the last quarter and it is showing year-on-year growth of 9%.

At Fespa Guy Gecht, CEO, announced that the inkjet ink volume had increased by 60% in the first quarter of 2013 against 2012 as more of the high productivity Jetrion 4900 presses come on-stream. There is also activity in packaging with increasing use of the flatbed inkjet printers to produce corrugated and carton packs.

‘We could not have been more delighted with the record results the EFI team delivered in the second quarter as our product innovation continues to drive demand across our three segments,’ commented Guy Gecht.
