To help its packaging customers, Antalis has opened a Smart Packaging Centre at the company’s head office in Coalville. The Smart Packaging Centre is a design lab and solutions centre, created as part of ongoing expansion in the company’s range of packaging solutions and services. Customer packaging requirements can now be reviewed on-site, using Impact CAD packaging design software to create designs and live samples which can then be tested and modified.

The packaging hub also includes smart packaging solutions such as void fill and cushioning that can help with damage reduction and increase packaging efficiency, as well as a range of sustainable options.

Jason Poxon, packaging technologist, said, ‘We’ve invested heavily in creating the new Smart Packaging Centre to create the ultimate one-stop-shop, where businesses can have all their packaging needs taken care of under one roof. By hand-picking the latest innovations and machinery in packaging, we have cut the time it takes to design, manufacture and test packaging. We look forward to welcoming all our customers, new and existing, to take advantage of this fantastic facility.’

The Smart Packaging Centre is part of Antalis’ European network of design facilities, which currently includes 15 packaging designers spread across a number of dedicated labs in France, Poland and Germany.
