Compass Business Finance has appointed Rob Hogg as a finance specialist, strengthening its team serving the print and packaging sectors.
Mr Hogg joins the independent finance provider after more than 25 years at Grafitec, where he served as group finance director. During his time with the business, he was responsible for financial reporting, planning, risk management and statutory duties, while also gaining extensive experience in the acquisition and disposal of capital equipment from print and finishing equipment manufacturers.
According to Compass, Mr Hogg brings a detailed understanding of production environments, investment cycles and the commercial challenges faced by print and packaging businesses. He has also worked closely with Compass for more than 20 years as a customer and partner, giving him experience of the funding process from both sides of the relationship.
In his new role, he will support businesses with funding decisions and help align finance arrangements with wider investment and growth plans.

Compass Business Finance specialises in asset-based finance, working primarily with companies in the print, packaging and engineering sectors. Established in 2005 by brothers Mark and Jamie Nelson, the company has expanded its activities across industry, professional services and renewable energy markets.
The appointment further strengthens Compass’s presence within the print and packaging sector, adding senior financial and operational experience from within the industry to its team.
