Focus Label Machinery has been awarded a Stationers’ Company Warrant for its DFlex digital hybrid press. The warrant, launched in 2014, was established as a mark of recognition to highlight excellence across the industries represented by the Stationers’ Company.
“A warrant for your product, product range or service provides a unique opportunity to showcase your quality offering and differentiate you from others in your sector,” the Stationers’ Company said.
The company’s DFlex digital hybrid press combines digital inkjet technology with traditional flexographic printing units. The hybrid configuration enables converters to produce short runs, variable data and complex designs while incorporating inline finishing in a single pass. By combining digital and flexo processes, printers can reduce setup times, minimise waste and maintain print quality across a variety of substrates.
Focus Label Machinery’s hybrid platforms also incorporate UV/LED curing systems. Compared with conventional mercury lamps, LED curing systems use less energy, generate less heat and offer instant on/off functionality. According to the company, this can help reduce power consumption and extend lamp life while lowering operational costs.
In addition to UV/LED technology, Focus offers a DFlex water-based digital hybrid system that uses water-based inks. These inks eliminate solvents, reduce VOC emissions and meet environmental regulations. The company says the system is designed to support converters seeking more environmentally conscious label and packaging production while maintaining colour performance.
The company said its hybrid press technology is designed to help converters respond to changing market demands, including shorter production runs, faster turnaround times and increased focus on sustainability. By enabling quicker job changes and reducing material waste, the systems aim to support more efficient production processes.
