Swedish packaging producer Kartongbolaget has expanded its digital printing capabilities with the installation of a Fujifilm Jet Press 750S, purchased during drupa 2024. The investment marks the company’s first collaboration with Fujifilm and reflects its ongoing focus on flexibility, quality and sustainability.
According to Joakim Johansson, CEO of Kartongbolaget, the Jet Press 750S has already delivered measurable benefits: “The impact was immediately noticeable. It has relieved pressure on our offset equipment for shorter runs and improved our speed and flexibility. Our start-up customers benefit from cost-effective short runs, while established brands appreciate the fast turnaround and quality delivered on demand.”
Mr Johansson highlighted the press’s machine stability, colour accuracy – capable of reproducing up to 90% of the Pantone range – and significantly improved uptime compared to previous digital equipment. These qualities, he said, have contributed to consistent production reliability and higher customer satisfaction.
Sustainability also played a key role in Kartongbolaget’s decision. The Jet Press 750S supports the company’s environmental goals through reduced waste and water-based ink technology, aligning with its long-term commitment to sustainable manufacturing.
Tommy Segelberg, segment manager, Fujifilm Digital Packaging and Inkjet EMEA, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Kartongbolaget as a new customer. Their early success reflects the Jet Press 750S’s proven performance and reliability, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth.”
Alexander Tormachen, service manager Nordics at Visutech, added: “Reliable service and local expertise are essential for success. Our engineers ensure smooth installation and ongoing uptime, and it’s great to see the Jet Press 750S contributing to Kartongbolaget’s high standards of quality and delivery.”
Mr Johansson concluded that the new press will be central to Kartongbolaget’s ongoing evolution, supporting faster planning, greater flexibility and reinforcing its position as a key packaging supplier in Scandinavia.
The new press was installed by Visutech, Fujifilm’s distribution partner in the Nordics, whose field service engineers oversaw the setup and commissioning process.
