Domino Printing Sciences has appointed Michael Strehlow as the new account manager corrugated for the EMEA region. The move supports the company’s continued focus on expanding its presence in the corrugated packaging market.
Mr Strehlow brings nearly 30 years of industry experience, having previously held roles at Heidelberg, Esko/Kongsberg, and Konica Minolta. His background covers a range of printing technologies, including offset, flexographic, and digital printing, along with expertise in post-press and converting processes.
In his new role, Mr Strehlow will collaborate with corrugated packaging manufacturers to implement digital printing technologies. The goal is to help converters meet changing market demands, particularly those driven by brand owners seeking faster turnaround times and more flexible production capabilities.
David Ellen, divisional director of Domino’s digital printing business, said Mr Strehlow’s experience will support converters transitioning to digital workflows. “Michael’s knowledge will be valuable for companies looking to improve efficiency and respond to market needs through digital printing,” Mr Ellen stated.
Domino is now extending its offerings to corrugated packaging. Its X630i digital corrugated press provides high-speed printing – up to 4500 sheets per hour – with a compact footprint and low ink consumption. The system uses a water-based ink set designed for fast drying and efficient production.
The appointment of Mr Strehlow reflects Domino’s broader strategy to support growth and innovation in the corrugated segment across EMEA markets.
