Durst Group, a manufacturer of digital printing and production technologies, has hit a milestone of 1000 customer installations of its Durst Workflow software. This achievement marks a doubling of the customer base since 2022, reflecting continued growth and commitment to delivering top-level options to the printing industry.

The Durst Workflow is an option for fully automated management of prepress and production tasks. Whether utilising Durst or non-Durst machinery, clients can leverage the capabilities of the software, which is compatible with a range of printing machinery, to help meet their individual needs.

Michael Deflorian, business unit manager of Durst Software & Solutions, explained, ‘We are proud that more than 1000 customers are relying on our solution and are increasing their efficiency automating their prepress and production operation across different sectors. This underlines the quality of our products and the commitment of our experts, who offer global support to assist our customers in achieving exceptional results.’

As stated by the company, there has been a trend of workflow technologies combining more and more functions into a single tool in recent years. As a result, workflow options are increasingly becoming the backbone of their respective print environments, enabling better and more efficient management of the entire process.

Johanna Weber, product manager of Durst Workflow, commented, ‘Durst Workflow is a complete browser-based solution that allows the entire PDF workflow to be easily managed, enabling a higher level of efficiency and automation than comparable stand-alone products. This is what makes it unique.’

Durst outlined resource management playing a crucial role in sustainability efforts across the print industry. Using the Ink Save module as an example, which reduces ink consumption by up to 35% maintaining high colour accuracy, the company explained how the Durst Workflow continues to evolve to meet customer needs while optimising resource consumption.

‘We are continuously working to make this solution the best one for customers,’ stated Serge Clauss, product manager of Software & Solutions. ‘Our software is engineered to drive process optimisation and automation, aligning seamlessly with our customers’ objectives.’
