As of January 23, 2024, NOMOQ has introduced blank (undecorated) aluminium beverage cans in Europe, allowing for customer flexibility in order to maintain labelled productions in combination with digitally decorated cans.

After recognising the needs of the customer, NOMOQ has instituted ‘blank cans’ to adhere to those who seek unprinted cans for their filling lines, with this new service allowing for improved customer flexibility.

Projections of the soft beverage industry look to reach over €162.51 billion in revenue in 2024, with the European alcoholic beverage industry to reach even higher at €219.82 billion. With figures so high NOMOQ is looking to play a part in the circular economy to maintain and improve sector sustainability, providing craft beverage businesses the opportunity to consolidate their packaging supply chains whilst maintaining high quality and environmentally friendly options with their ‘blank cans.’

NOMOQ on top of providing the ‘blank cans’ additionally offers personalised business advice alongside providing information to ensure all transport, packaging and labelling is as environmentally friendly as it can be, and that the result can be indefinitely recycled whilst not compromising on brand quality. NOMOQ co-founder Patrick Schweizer stated, ’Aluminium cans are one of the world’s most recycled beverage packaging and a shining example of a circular economy in action, and we are happy to offer our expertise to a wider group of customers whilst offering more to our current customers.’

The introduction of undecorated blank cans on top of the existing service of printed cans allow customers to streamline their supply chain by sourcing both digitally printed and unprinted cans from a single distributor which subsequently will enhance overall efficiency along with reducing overall CO2 production. Mr Schweizer said, ‘We are excited to launch this new service after listening to customer feedback requesting more packaging options from one supplier.’

By providing both products, cost prices are reduced for customers as consolidation of orders from one warehouse reduces transportation costs offering a more cost-effective shipping solution and with all around the clock convenience Mr Schweizer concluded, ‘Ordering a wide range of beverage cans 24/7 has never been easier,’ with NOMOQ’s new service becoming full operational in the coming weeks.

BrewDog is to be the first customer of NOMOQ’s confirmed UK production site in Leamington Spa.
