Inks and coatings manufacturer Siegwerk is expanding its existing management team to better reflect its global presence and adapt to changing industry dynamics.

Effective January 1, 2024, the new group executive committee will come into being and work to develop, implement and oversee key decisions and strategies for the company.

In addition to the current members of the Siegwerk management board – CEO Dr Nicolas Wiedmann, EMEA president Dr Jan Breitkopf, Americas president Ralf Hildenbrand and CFO Dr Oliver Wittmann – Ashish Pradhan, president in Asia, will also be part of the newly-formed committee.

Asia is identified as a ‘significant’ region for Siegwerk and one with ‘immense growth potential’. With stronger representation for Asia, Siegwerk stated that it will be able to effectively respond to the evolving needs of an ever-expanding international business that is to be defined in the future by three strategic regions – EMEA, Americas and Asia.

‘The new management structure will help Siegwerk to drive innovation strategies even more efficiently, manage products flexibly across locations and continue to pursue its strategic goal of being a leading provider of circular and digital packaging solutions,’ so the company stated.

In addition, Dr Wittmann is to depart Siegwerk and hand over the CFO role to Dirk Weissenfeldt, effective 30 April, 2024. Through the end of 2025, he will remain available to advise the company’s supervisory board upon request. Mr Weissenfeldt, currently vice president, flexible packaging, EMEA at Siegwerk, has held different financial and operational positions at the company over the past 17 years.

Of these changes, Dr Wiedmann said, ‘Siegwerk will continue to be very well positioned for the future with its new management structure. Thanks to an impressive level of knowhow, experience, and dedication, we are ready to further expand our business and drive innovation in the packaging industry.’
