Flexible packaging manufacturer ProAmpac has sought to reiterate its ‘commitment to delivering exceptional packaging’ after winning with work for Nestlé at the Digital Labels & Packaging Awards 2023.

Presented back in June, this year’s Digital Labels & Packaging Awards programme continued their success and representation of the rapidly evolving digital packaging industry. Some 14 trophies were presented to printers and converters demonstrating the skills and expertise that are moving digital print for packaging forward and into new areas.

ProAmpac’s success came in the ‘Application excellence – primary packaging’ category, where its Nestlé Splash – KitKat entry was deemed to be the winner. This job was printed for Nestlé on an HP Indigo 20000 and saw a matte OPP converted into flow wrappers, with solventless lamination and cold sealing.

Of this entry, the judges said, ‘The winning campaign featured a variable design and numbering of over 100,000 unique packs for multiple SKUs, with the use of software to vary the design and text showing great creativity.’

‘We are honoured to have partnered with Nestlé on this packaging achievement,’ expressed Adam Grose, chief commercial officer at ProAmpac. ‘Being named a recipient of a 2023 Digital Labels & Packaging Award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional packaging solutions that truly resonate with our customers and consumers.’

Details of the Digital Labels & Packaging Awards 2024 will be announced soon, with the call for entries to follow early next year.
