AM Labels is introducing the Afinia Label x350 digital roll-to-roll press to the UK.

x350 is built for high-volume production, utilising a 350mm printhead for a 324mm print width, large ink capacities of two litres per colour channel (CMYK), and print speeds of up to 460mm (18in) per second to print large runs of labels or flexible packaging film quickly.

With such large ink and media capacities and stated print speeds, as well as running durable pigment inks, x350 is claimed to provide, ‘a combination of production capability, footprint size, and economy not found in compact desktop or large, expensive commercial presses.’

Offering user friendly operation, the press features an integrated PC with an intuitive 21 inch touchscreen interface. The x350 offers a wider roll width of 350 mm, as well as a larger roll diameter of 350 mm, providing up to 500 metres of label stock on a roll or up to 1,000 metres of flexible packaging. The Afinia x350 is ideal for a wide variety of high volume, roll-to-roll labelling and packaging requirements, including for use in food, beverage and chemical industries.

The roll-to-roll press utilises water-based, pigment inks that are free from harmful chemicals, in addition to being more durable than traditional inkjet formulations. As a result, the x350 is resistant to any possible bleeding or degradation that can often be caused by moisture, UV or abrasion. Furthermore, the press utilises Memjet DuraFlex technology, enabling it to provide highly consistent print quality.

Brendon Bass, sales and marketing manager at AM Labels, commented, ‘We are thrilled to be the first reseller in the UK to debut the new Afinia x350 digital roll-to-roll press. The soon-to-be-released Afinia x350 is an ideal solution for businesses with high volume labelling and packaging requirements, enabling them to achieve vibrant and professional results, while also offering fast and consistent print results, all created in-house, thanks to Memjet DuraFlex technology.’
