Lombardi Converting Machinery has launched Astra, a new inkjet option for the narrow web market.
Astra is a UV inkjet digital printing engine. It uses printheads developed by Lombardi, and runs CMYK+W+OVG. This inkjet unit can be used standalone or combined with Lombardi’s Digistar model to create a hybrid printing option.
At the recent Print4All event in Milan, a prototype was shown integrated into a Digistar 430, combining flexo, digital printing, flexo hot foil and die-cutting.
