Inkjet digital printing specialist Durst has recruited Philip Hampson as a regional sales manager in Canada, as the press manufacturer seeks to strengthen its position in the country.

Mr Hampson brings to Durst two decades of experience, including extensive knowledge of selling inkjet capital equipment and consumables into the country’s growing digital printing market.

Durst has gone on record and stated that, despite Canada being an incredibly strong country, ‘our presence in Canada has not yet achieved what we anticipated.’ The recruitment of Mr Hampson is set to change this, alongside a growing service team in Canada.

Tim Saur, CEO and managing director at Durst North America, described Mr Hampson as, ‘seasoned, focused, knowledgeable, and proven sales individual.’

With his appointment, Mr Saur said, ‘We can properly reflect to the Canadian market just how sincere we are about partnering in their continued success.’

Larry D’Amico, sales director at Durst North America, added, ‘Philip’s experience in inkjet sales and support makes him a strong and welcome addition to the Durst sales team. He reflects our ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction before, during and after the sale.’

Of his new role, Mr Hampson said, ‘I have always admired Durst as a company and am honoured to represent Durst throughout Canada. The Durst portfolio offers clients the ability to grow their business with industry-leading inkjet and software solutions. It is exciting to be in a position to offer a best-in-class portfolio of products across multiple segments including large format, textile, corrugated and label markets.’
