Interket has added additional converting technology from Grafotronic, furthering its strategy to offer optimised systems and services, Europe-wide.

Installed at the group’s site in Gehrden, Germany, the system is a 550mm-wide converting line for high volume production of blanks and labels printed with one or two colours. The high-speed converting line is equipped with automation features and a fully automatic turret rewinder.

Interket has already chosen Grafotronic as the finishing partner for multiple sites. This latest investment is part of the Interket Group strategy, which is shaping all the group’s European manufacturing sites to provide ‘optimum services and solutions’. For Interket GmbH, this investment is an important part in the roll out of the strategy, ensuring efficient processes that deliver high quality with speed. Another important factor is the new Connected Service concept from Grafotronic, whereby it can monitor machines 24/7 and react to ensure trouble-free production.

Anja Herzog, Interket GmbH managing director, said, ‘It is a logical step and a clear commitment to our stakeholders. The benefit for our customers is to experience a higher level of service. Our committed operators will develop even further in a modern and efficient driven working environment. The automated and digitised workflow is an investment for economic success.’
