Eric Kanter has been named chairman of the board at AWT Labels & Packaging following the buyout of the US converter by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners (MSCP).
Mr Kanter joined Morgan Stanley in 2003 and has been a member of MSCP since 2007. He was previously a vice president in the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Group. He is also a board member of Comar and PPC Flexible Packaging, further portfolio companies of MSCP.
In a post on LinkedIn, Mr Kanter said, ‘Thrilled to announce our partnership with the AWT Labels & Packaging management team, representing MSCP’s third packaging investment in the past four years.
[I’m] looking forward to supporting the company with significant investments to continue to serve customers, create opportunities for employees and generate attractive returns for shareholders.’
Michelle Zeller was named AWT president earlier this year.
