Printing United Alliance, the industry body behind the Printing United tradeshow and this year’s Printing United Digital Experience, has confirmed a 14-day schedule that will take place across three weeks commencing 26 October that will include ’20 major global product launches’.

Printing United was scheduled to take place 21-23 October in Atlanta, Georgia. Despite initially stating its intent for the show to go ahead as originally planned, the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic, particularly in the US, led to this year’s edition being switched to a digital event, Printing United Digital Experience. Printing United 2021 will return in-person in Orlando next October.

Returning to this year, Printing United Alliance has confirmed OEMs and suppliers as preparing to launch new technology on a worldwide stage for the first time in 2020. This will include new technology from Canon, FujiFilm, Heidelberg, HP, Kodak, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Rochester Software Associates (RSA), Roland DGA, Standard Finishing Systems and Xeikon.

With new market segments being highlighted each week, each day of the event, which runs 26 October 12 November, will kick off with a special keynote address, followed by education and panel discussions, over 40 on-demand educational sessions, and new product launches/technology showcases each day. Labels and flexible packaging will be under the microscope on 29 October, with folding carton and corrugated packaging in focus on 4 November.

The Digital Experience event will offer ‘education, insight, and new technology briefings’ for everyone across all job functions, at no cost, according to the association.

Mark J. Subers, Printing United president, commented, ‘We built the Printing United Digital Experience as a way to keep the industry united and moving forward as well as provide an elevated stage, as we traditionally do, for companies to debut the products they’ve worked so hard to bring to market this year. During a year when launching new products has been a real challenge, we are thrilled to learn about the new technology that will be featured on the Printing United Digital Experience platform from companies around the world.

‘It is especially exciting to hear that the Digital Experience is being used as a springboard for plans by many of our partners for our in-person expo in 2021.’
