Cambridge, UK-based Global Graphics Software has been honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, specifically in recognition of the development of ScreenPro.

ScreenPro is screening software that corrects quality defects that occur due to the physics of jetting ink onto a substrate. ScreenPro is effective in bot single-pass and multi-pass inkjet printing applications, using any electronics or printheads and can be applied to any workflow. It is now in use in several applications including wall coverings, textiles, ceramics, packaging, flooring and labels.

Justin Bailey, managing director of Global Graphics Software, said, ‘ScreenPro has the potential to transform digital print. It makes it possible to print a greater number of jobs digitally by removing artefacts from printed output. As a supplier to the global printing marketplace I feel sure that this award will help us with sales of our technology in countries who associate British technology with the highest quality.

‘We are humbled to receive this honour from Her Majesty the Queen. It recognises the innovative thinking of our teams and the quality of the software they produce.’

Global Graphics Software plans to celebrate its award during a royal reception for Queen’s Awards winners in the summer, and later in the year, with a celebration for all employees at its Cambourne head office.

Parent company Global Graphics is also to formally launch Direct, a major new software platform for digital presses that combines the capabilities of group companies Global Graphics Software, Meteor Inkjet and Xitron.
