Three senior staff have been appointed at Xeikon America to support the company’s growing digital printing business in North America.

This has seen Nancy Pappas named director of graphic arts sales in the region. She will lead the graphic arts and commercial print segment of Xeikon’s business in the US and Canada. Ms Pappas has taken on responsibility for all sales activities in the graphic arts segment in the US and Canada, and reports to Monika Olbricht, global sales director, graphic arts.

Ms Pappas’ previous print industry experience includes almost three decades at Xerox, departing her last role as sales director in May 2019. Between Xerox and Kodak, she joined Kingsbridge Technologies as vice president of Production Solution.

Alongsde Ms Pappas comes the appointment of Todd Blumsack as director, label and packaging sales. He manages the direct sales team as well as the company’s relationship with its distributor, Anderson & Vreeland. Mr Blumsack reports to Hans Gerinckx, vice president, global label and packaging sales and channels. A former Xeikon sales director, Mr Blumsack rejoins Xeikon after almost five years at Bobst’s operations in North America, where he worked in the company’s web-fed business unit. He has also sent more than a decade at Kodak and wood product company Weyerhaeuser.

Thirdly, Mark Pomerantz has been promoted to a worldwide role as Xeikon’s manager of strategic global accounts, graphic arts. Mr Pomerantz was formerly Xeikon’s North American sales manager for strategic accounts. Mr Pomerantz has a wealth of experience in digital printing, having held sales and marketing positions within the industry, such as at Creo and HP.

‘We see tremendous potential in the North American market, and with these announcements we have put an even stronger infrastructure into place to support our growth,’ said Benoit Chatelard (pictured, left), president and CEO of Flint Group Digital Solutions, Xeikon’s parent company. ‘One of the hallmarks of Xeikon’s more than 30 years in the digital printing industry has been an unrelenting focus on the customer’s needs. These three individuals were appointed with that principle in mind.’

Xeikon has previously grown its footprint in North America with a number of appointments to expand its sales and marketing staff to provide coverage to all markets the company serves.

David Wilkins, Xeikon’s vice president of sales for North America, is to retire, effective 30 March.
