Industrial Inkjet (IIJ) has opened a new manufacturing space at its headquarters in Cambridgeshire in the UK.

The company, which turns 15 next year, has doubled its manufacturing space as a result. The expanded manufacturing base is part of major expansion plans the inkjet printing specialist has.

Lesley Scanlon, general manager, said, ‘We are very excited to expand into our new premises. The expansion allows us to develop spaces designed to meet our specific business needs and we are looking forward to creating a working environment that is truly fit for purpose and provides the best possible experience for our customers and employees.’

Independently-owned, IIJ is the official sales and technical support centre for Konica Minolta industrial inkjet printheads outside Asia, providing advice on all inkjet technology in industrial applications.

At the recent The Inkjet Conference event in Dusseldorf, Germany, IIJ business development director Paddy O’Hara introduced the new Konica Minolta KM1280iMHH-S printhead. Designed with single-pass applications in mind, this printhead bridges the gap between high resolution/small drop size options and those offering larger drop sizes but with a lower resolution.
